New Delhi, March – Mercurius Advisory Services has introduced a dedicated Sick Room facility at its New Delhi headquarters, marking a strategic investment in employee health infrastructure and workplace well-being programs.
On-Site Health Support Becomes Essential Workplace Infrastructure
The Sick Room, located on the First Floor (Upper) of the Mercurius office, provides employees with immediate access to a private, dedicated space when they feel unwell during working hours. Unlike traditional wellness programs focused on preventive care, this facility addresses the often-overlooked need for real-time, on-site health support during unexpected medical situations.
The initiative operates in coordination with the company’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), introduced in 2025 to strengthen workplace safety protocols and emergency preparedness across the organization. Together, the Sick Room and ERT form an integrated health and safety ecosystem designed to protect employee well-being during both routine and critical situations.
Filling the Gap Between Policy and Practice
According to workplace health studies, while 78% of organizations offer long-term wellness benefits, fewer than 30% provide structured, immediate on-site health support for employees experiencing acute discomfort or illness during work hours. The Sick Room directly addresses this infrastructure gap.
By formalizing access through clear, time-bound protocols managed by the Emergency Response Team, Mercurius ensures the facility remains available to all employees when needed, while maintaining operational efficiency and workplace productivity.
Leadership Commitment to Employee-Centric Culture
“Workplace well-being isn’t measured by what we say in company handbooks, it’s measured by what we build into our daily operations,” said Yitesh Bhalla, Director, Mercurius Advisory Services. “The Sick Room ensures that when someone on our team isn’t feeling well, they have immediate, structured support without hesitation or disruption. That’s not a perk. That’s infrastructure that reflects our values.”
The facility is part of a broader shift at Mercurius toward treating employee health and safety as foundational infrastructure rather than supplementary benefits.
Strengthening India’s Corporate Health and Safety Standards
The introduction of the Sick Room positions Mercurius among a growing number of companies elevating workplace health standards beyond compliance. As businesses increasingly recognize the link between employee well-being and organizational performance, facilities like the Sick Room represent a tangible commitment to creating healthier, safer workplaces.
The facility complements Mercurius’ existing employee support systems, including comprehensive health insurance, mental health resources, structured emergency response protocols, and ongoing workplace safety training programs.
